Our commitment
Internet Creation Limited wants as many people as possible to be able to use this website. We build websites for a living, including for public-sector and charity clients who have accessibility obligations of their own, and we hold our own site to the same standard we ask of theirs.
This statement explains how accessible this website is, what we know still falls short, and how to tell us if something is not working for you.
How accessible this website is
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, Level AA.
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that most of the content meets the standard, but some parts do not. The specific areas we know about are listed below.
We have chosen to publish this statement while work is still in progress rather than wait, because knowing where a site falls short is more useful to you than a claim of perfection.
What we have done
The following have been implemented and checked across the site:
- Skip link. A "Skip to content" link is the first thing a keyboard user reaches on every page, so you can jump past the navigation.
- Labelled form fields. Every field on our contact form and questionnaires is programmatically linked to its label, so screen readers announce what each field is for. Groups of radio buttons and checkboxes are announced as a group.
- Text alternatives for images. Content images across the site carry descriptive alternative text. Images that are purely decorative are marked so that screen readers skip them rather than reading out a filename.
- Semantic structure. Pages use real headings, lists and landmarks rather than styled text, so assistive technology can navigate the structure.
- Text resizing and zoom. The site uses relative units and a responsive layout, so it reflows when text is enlarged or the browser is zoomed.
- Language. Every page declares English as its language, so screen readers use the correct pronunciation.
- Meaningful page titles. Each page has a unique, descriptive title.
- A helpful error page. If you reach a page that no longer exists, you get a branded page with navigation and contact details rather than a dead end.
Known limitations
We are aware of the following, and are working through them:
- Heading order. On some pages the heading levels skip a step (for example, jumping from a first-level to a third-level heading). This does not hide any content, but it makes navigating by headings less predictable.
- Layout shift on image-heavy pages. Some listing pages, particularly the blog index, load images without reserved space, so content can move slightly as the page loads. This is most noticeable on slower connections.
- Colour contrast. We have not yet completed a formal contrast audit of every text and background combination. Some combinations may not meet the 4.5:1 ratio required at Level AA.
- Assistive technology testing. The site has not yet been through a full manual audit with screen readers or a complete keyboard-only walkthrough. Accessibility features have been implemented and verified in code, but not yet confirmed by testing with the technologies themselves.
- Third-party content. Some embedded content, and some documents linked from this site, are produced by other organisations. We do not control their accessibility.
- Older articles. Blog posts migrated from our previous website may contain formatting, images or embedded media that do not meet current standards.
We do not currently claim to have tested this site against every WCAG 2.2 success criterion. Where we are unsure, we have said so above rather than assume it passes.
Tell us if you have a problem
If you cannot access something on this website, or you find a barrier we have not listed, please tell us. It genuinely helps, and we would rather hear about it than not.

Enforcement
Internet Creation Limited is a private company, so the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not apply to this website. We are, however, subject to the Equality Act 2010, which requires service providers to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people.
If you contact us about an accessibility problem and you are not happy with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS), which provides free advice on discrimination and human rights issues.
How we tested this website
This statement is based on a self-assessment carried out by Internet Creation, not an independent external audit.
Testing covered the whole site and included an automated review of every page reachable from our sitemap, checking page structure, headings, text alternatives, page titles, link integrity and form markup. Accessibility improvements identified by that review were implemented before this statement was published.
We have not yet commissioned an independent accessibility audit. Where that limits what we can claim, we have said so under "Known limitations".
What we are doing next
Our current priorities are:
- Completing a colour contrast audit and correcting any combination that falls below the required ratio
- Carrying out a manual keyboard-only and screen-reader walkthrough of key journeys
- Correcting the heading order issues described above
- Reserving space for images on listing pages to remove layout shift
- Reviewing migrated blog content
We will update this statement as each item is completed.
