Ultraguard Antifouling Website Design Case Study

A short look at a recent project — the brief, the build and the result.

Overview

Presenting Advanced Marine Technology to a Global Market

Internet Creation partnered with Ultraguard Antifouling to create a technical, product-led website for its commercial marine biofouling management systems.

The platform explains how Ultraguard's ultrasonic technology protects vessels, seawater systems and marine infrastructure while helping operators identify the most suitable solution for their vessel, available power and installation environment.

A bespoke technical product website created by Internet Creation for Ultraguard Antifouling and its commercial marine biofouling management systems.

About the Client

Ultraguard Antifouling provides commercial-grade ultrasonic systems designed to prevent marine biofouling on vessels and seawater infrastructure.

Its technology can protect areas including hulls, sea chests, seawater pipework, coolers and heat exchangers by using ultrasonic pulses to discourage biofouling species from establishing themselves on treated surfaces. The process operates without polluting chemical biocides or toxic metallic particles.

The company offers two principal product ranges: the AC-powered UG Series and the compact DC-powered Master Series, allowing systems to be selected according to vessel size, available space, weight and power supply.

Project Overview

The objective was to create a modern digital platform capable of explaining a specialist technical product to vessel owners, naval architects, engineers, fleet operators and commercial marine organisations.

The website needed to combine technical detail with straightforward product selection while presenting the operational and environmental benefits of ultrasonic antifouling.

The Brief

The project focused on:

  • Explaining ultrasonic antifouling technology
  • Presenting multiple system ranges and configurations
  • Helping buyers identify suitable products
  • Promoting applications across marine sectors
  • Providing detailed technical specifications
  • Supporting international sales enquiries
  • Offering manuals and supporting documentation
  • Strengthening the Ultraguard brand within the commercial marine market
  • Creating a scalable platform for future product development

Our Solution

Internet Creation designed and developed a bespoke WordPress website organised around systems, protected assets and marine sectors.

Visitors can explore the product range by power requirement and system type, then view individual product pages containing dimensions, power consumption, transducer information and installation details.

The Master Series, for example, is designed for DC operation in more confined spaces, while individual system pages provide the technical information required by engineers assessing compatibility.

Sector pages explain how the technology can be applied in offshore and other commercial marine environments, helping users move from an operational challenge towards the most appropriate solution.

Key Features

  • Bespoke marine technology website
  • WordPress CMS
  • Product and system catalogue
  • AC and DC system ranges
  • Detailed technical specification pages
  • Downloadable owner manuals
  • Sector-based landing pages
  • Protected-equipment information
  • News and product announcements
  • Sales and technical enquiry routes
  • International contact information
  • Flexible product management

User Experience

The website serves a technically informed audience that needs accurate product information before making contact.

Navigation has therefore been structured around practical questions:

  • What needs to be protected?
  • Which system range is suitable?
  • What power and space are available?
  • What technical specifications apply?
  • How can the installation be discussed?

Results & Outcomes

This approach helps users assess the technology efficiently while still providing clear routes to specialist sales and technical support. The completed website provides Ultraguard with a professional platform for marketing specialist marine technology to an international commercial audience.

  • Clearer explanation of ultrasonic antifouling technology
  • Strong presentation of the UG and Master system ranges
  • Easier comparison of products and technical specifications
  • Improved support for engineers and purchasing teams
  • Better visibility across commercial marine and offshore sectors
  • Direct routes to sales and technical assistance
  • Flexible product management for future systems
  • A scalable platform supporting international market development

Why This Project Matters

Marine technology websites must balance engineering detail with commercial clarity.

The Ultraguard platform demonstrates how complex products can be organised around real operational requirements rather than presenting visitors with an undifferentiated catalogue.

By explaining what the systems protect, how they operate and which configurations are available, the website supports informed purchasing decisions while reinforcing Ultraguard's specialist position within the commercial marine industry.
