This project went to public tender and was awarded to Internet Creation. Heart 200 offers tourists a number of different routes around central Scotland. In the main, this is an aid for tourists, but also a business directory, which shows some of the best locations to visit whilst touring the route.
We were challenged to create a new website that allowed businesses to register and pay for a subscription to manage their own directory entry on the website. There are 3 levels of membership offering them different features when presenting their business on the website. Using WordPress and some GeoLocation scripting we delivered a stunning, image-led tourist experience.
The Heart 200 website has been made in a way that allows our client to be able to manage all aspects of the business directory themselves as well as the content of the website. The intuitive content management system and business directory system mean that they can create a revenue stream from this web application. The spectacular photography around the site enhanced the usable, accessible, clean layout.
