Visit East Lothian is the destination marketing and management organisation for the East Lothian region and is part of East Lothian Council’s Economic Development team.
At Internet Creation, we were delighted to partner with the team to design a website that visually enhances their destination’s online footprint.
The key to the design was to deliver a home page that could encourage visitors to navigate the website’s content boosted by a series of quick tiles and visuals using video, iconography and mapping.
Built with almost 150 pages of content, we carefully considered the audience’s needs and wants at every level to ensure that we promoted a clear user journey with seamless page-to-page navigation.
This included the integration of Komoot route planning for the website’s cycling area through to a bespoke members directory listing section showcasing 400 businesses within the East Lothian region.
